Islamabad:Official documents have revealed that 38,616 Pakistani nationals were deported from various Gulf countries during 2025, with Saudi Arabia recording the highest number of deportations.
According to the data, 27,692 Pakistanis were deported from Saudi Arabia in a single year, making it the largest source of deportations. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) ranked second, deporting 6,794 Pakistanis during the same period.
Other Gulf countries also deported a significant number of Pakistani nationals. Oman deported 2,537 Pakistanis, while 786 were deported from Bahrain. In 2025, 644 Pakistanis were deported from Qatar, and 163 from Kuwait, according to official records.
Reasons for Deportations from Saudi Arabia
The documents further detail the reasons behind deportations from Saudi Arabia:
6,094 Pakistanis were deported for being absconders
10,274 deportations were carried out on other legal and administrative grounds
3,282 Pakistanis were deported due to overstaying and illegal entry
1,479 deportations resulted from blacklisting
700 Pakistanis were deported in connection with narcotics-related cases
767 individuals were deported for begging
92 Pakistanis were deported for involvement in theft
907 deportations were carried out due to visa violations
The figures highlight growing challenges faced by Pakistani workers and visitors in Gulf countries, underscoring the need for greater awareness of immigration laws and compliance with local regulations.
