Pakistan Railways has announced the suspension of all major train services in Balochistan on March 27 due to technical issues and ongoing track repair work. According to officials, the temporary suspension is necessary to ensure passenger safety and to complete essential maintenance on the railway route.
Railway authorities confirmed that the Jaffar Express, which normally operates between Quetta and Peshawar, will not depart from Quetta on March 27. Meanwhile, the Jaffar Express coming from Peshawar will be halted at Jacobabad and returned from there.
Officials added that the Bolan Mail from Quetta to Karachi and the Chaman Passenger train had already been suspended earlier due to operational challenges.
Passengers have been advised to stay updated through official Pakistan Railways channels regarding service restoration and alternative travel arrangements.
