Gwadar: The process of repatriation of Pakistani citizens from Iran has begun following heightened tensions and the recent war involving Iran, Israel, and the United States.
According to Deputy Commissioner Gwadar Naqeebullah Kakar, at least 51 Pakistani nationals, including five students, safely returned to Pakistan after crossing the Gabd–Rimdan Pak–Iran border. He said the returnees had been stranded in Iran due to the evolving regional security situation.
The deputy commissioner stated that those returning home include businessmen, tourists, and students, adding that all arrivals are being facilitated in an organized manner to ensure their safety and convenience.
To manage the influx, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has established 24-hour immigration services at the border crossing, allowing smooth and uninterrupted processing of Pakistani nationals entering the country.
Naqeebullah Kakar further said that the district administration is providing comprehensive support to the returnees, including temporary accommodation, food, and onward travel facilities, so that no individual faces hardship upon arrival.
