Jaffar Express Train Service Resumes After Two-Day Suspension

Quetta: Pakistan Railways resumed the Jaffar Express after a two-day suspension caused by flood-related disruptions. The train, carrying more than 500 passengers, departed Quetta for Peshawar on Tuesday, railway officials confirmed.

The service had remained suspended on August 25 and 26 due to flood conditions along parts of the track. Operations were halted as a safety precaution to avoid potential risks to passengers and railway infrastructure.

The Jaffar Express is one of the key passenger trains connecting Quetta with Peshawar, passing through major cities and providing vital transport for travelers from Balochistan to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Its suspension had left many commuters stranded and caused inconvenience for long-distance travelers.

Railway officials said services have now returned to normal after maintenance teams restored the affected sections of the track. Passengers have welcomed the resumption, saying it provides relief after days of uncertainty.
