The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has announced record recoveries of more than Rs 547 billion in the past six months, reaffirming its firm commitment to safeguarding public interest and retrieving looted national wealth.
According to NAB’s official data, the bureau recovered Rs 345.3 billion in the second quarter of 2025 (April–June) alone. In total, NAB recovered Rs 547.31 billion during the first two quarters of the year.
During this period, NAB handed over movable and immovable properties worth Rs 532.33 billion to federal and provincial ministries, departments, and financial institutions. The bureau also returned looted amounts to 12,611 victims of various fraud cases.
NAB Rawalpindi recovered 51 kanals of valuable government land in Islamabad’s Sector E-11, worth Rs 29 billion, and handed it over to the Capital Development Authority (CDA). In a major fraud case (B4U), NAB recovered Rs 3 billion, which will be distributed among 17,214 victims.
NAB Sukkur retrieved land worth Rs 25 billion belonging to the National Highway Authority, as well as 127 kanals and 15 marlas of land from the Sindh Education & Literacy Department, valued at Rs 895.16 million.
In Lahore, NAB distributed Rs 3.2 billion recovered in the Eden case among 11,880 victims, while in the Pak-Arab Housing case, the bureau recovered eight properties worth Rs 3.9 billion, to be provided to 2,500 victims in the form of cash.
