Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, visited Turbat in Balochistan to review the security situation and assess ongoing development initiatives.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief received a detailed briefing on security dynamics and successful operations against hostile elements, referred to as Fitna al-Hindustan.
During the visit, Field Marshal Asim Munir held meetings with Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, Chief Secretary, and other senior officials. He emphasized good governance, transparency, and active public participation in the province’s progress.
The ISPR stated that the Army Chief was also updated on various development projects and socio-economic initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for local communities. He stressed the importance of coordinated civil-military efforts to ensure sustainable peace and development.
Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s commitment to the prosperity and long-term development of Balochistan. He highlighted the need for collective action to uplift the region and integrate it into the national growth framework.
Addressing troops during his visit, the Army Chief praised their high morale, operational readiness, and dedication to maintaining stability in the region. He commended their role in ensuring peace and countering security challenges.
Earlier, upon arrival in Turbat, Field Marshal Asim Munir was warmly received by the Commander of Southern Command.
The visit underlined the Pakistan Army’s determination to support governance reforms, strengthen security, and advance development projects in Balochistan.
