Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that the province’s most pressing issue is corruption, not insurgency, emphasizing that eliminating corruption is essential to usher in real development and prosperity. He expressed these views during a meeting with members of the National Youth Council in Quetta on Monday.
The meeting was also attended by Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, youth delegates, focal persons, and senior officials of the Youth Affairs Department.The Chief Minister stated that the provincial government is taking concrete steps to promote meritocracy and strengthen institutional governance.
He said that elements hostile to the state are attempting to weaken the country through violence, but the youth must counter such narratives with logic and truth.The youth should help spread the state’s true narrative and encourage a culture of positive thinking, he said. He further urged young people to respond to negative propaganda and violence with reason, facts, and informed debate rather than reactionary approaches.
Highlighting the importance of youth engagement, the Chief Minister said that understanding the difference between perception and reality regarding Balochistan is crucial.
He described every young person as a valuable asset to the state and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to guiding them in the right direction.We are ready to answer every difficult question from our youth through truth and clarity, Bugti added.At the conclusion of the meeting, Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti distributed laptops among members of the National Youth Council.
